Reservation and Payment Policy

• Swiss-Garden strives to ensure that the contents and other matters related to the website and booking engine are accurate and Swiss-Garden does not accept liability for errors or omissions that arise within.

• Swiss-Garden reserves the right to change and update the contents periodically as and when deem necessary. All information, prices and availability are subject to change without prior notice.

• Rates quoted are in Ringgit Malaysia. All price are subject to a 10% Administration Fee and 8% Sales & Services Tax (SST) . The final rate will be reflected in final stage of reservations.

• Effective on 1st April 2012 the Melaka State of Government has imposed Heritage Tax on Hotel Rooms sold. Therefore, Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka would collect a sum of RM4.00 Per room per night.The charges will be added in the final billing.

• Following the announcement of the Malaysia Tourism Tax Act 2017 by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka has implemented the Tourism Tax (TTx) for tourists in compliance with the aforementioned Act. Registered tourists, who stay at the hotel, are charged a flat rate of MYR10.00 per night, per room. This will be reflected in your guestroom’s folio, and will be collected as a separate amount (additional to quoted room charges) prior to guest departure. The following tourists are exempted from the payment of the whole of TTx when they stay at any accommodation premise in Malaysia:

  • a tourist who is a Malaysian national (MyKAD holder);
  • a tourist who is a permanent resident of Malaysia (MyPR holder).

• Check in time 1500 hours. Check out time 1200 hours.

• A credit card is required at the time of booking to secure guarantee the reservation.

• We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under circumstances where it appears that the reservations contain or resulted from a mistake or error.

• Swiss-Garden is not liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use of our website or booking engine.

Cancellation /No-show Policy:

• No shows or cancellation less than 72 hours (3 Days) prior to arrival date will result in a penalty of full payment charged.

• Cancellations made more than 72 hours (3 days) prior to arrival date will be free-of-charge (no fees incurred).

• You are required to complete and submit the cancellation form.

• Should you wish to change an existing reservation, you are required to cancel the existing booking and proceed to create a new reservation. You may visit our website at www.swissgarden.com.

• We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under circumstances where it appears that the reservations contain or resulted from a mistake or error.

The following restrictions apply on any reservation that requires a full payment, non-refundable or deposit:

• Full prepayment required, non-refundable, no date changes and cancellation not allowed.

• In line with the announcement made by the Malaysian Government; the Tourism Tax (TTX) of RM10. 00 per room per night for all foreign passport holders for hotel stays effective from 1st January 2023 has been reinstated. The charges will be collected upon arrival.
